Meat and meat products

The meat industry is the fourth industrial sector of our country. The sector is made up of slaughterhouses, cutting plants and processing industries, forming an industrial fabric constituted basically by almost 3,000 SMEs. With this dimension, the meat industry occupies by far the first place in the Spanish food and beverage industry, representing a turnover of more than 22,000 million euros, plus 21.6% of the Spanish food sector .

This industry exported 1.71 million tons of all kinds of meat products to markets worldwide for 4.350 million euros, with a very positive trade balance of 375%, a fact that very few relevant economic sectors can present, And which contributes to alleviate the traditional trade deficit of our country.
