Cereals are grasses, herbaceous plants whose grains or seeds have always been at the base of food, from the time that man went from being a gatherer to a farmer. Cereals are essential for human nutrition because they provide us with the carbohydrates needed to get energy and maintain human health. From the cereal, bread-making flour is obtained – a fundamental ingredient of bread , semolina-for the production of pasta, malt-for brewing, grains for cooking or for inflation, as well as other derivatives.
There are many breads, depending on the cereals used to make the different flours, the wheat being the most traditional and made in the bakeries. Bread is also made with corn, soybean, barley, rye, or oat flours, to name a few.
